Ooooh, I consider myself extremely liberal and progressive, but my vice is watching old Charlie Chan movies, and the reason this is a "vice" is that the main character is played by a tall white man speaking English with a sort of broken English accent and he has his eyes taped to look vaguely Asian. These movies usually also have a somewhat stereotypical black man who acts uncomfortably (for me) in a racial stereotype of the era. Why do I watch them? They are light comedies and I like to fantasize what the black and Asian actors are thinking while they are speaking their lines. It adds a lot of depth to the movies and unintended humor for me.
