I prefer cake, but can't eat it anymore because my fasting blood glucose kept going up every year. I'm 60 now, and after 60 years of eating cake I have voluntarily decided enough is enough, and I quit. I don't want to get the diabetes type II. I'm ok with the no cake diet, ha, ha. No, really, I have tried to eat healthier for more years than I can say, and when the doctor told me, "You'll get diabetes if you don't drastically change your diet", something clicked in my head and I no longer wanted any cake. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
